You can run numerous types of reports in CalAmp K-12 that will provide you with information about your fleet's operations. This articles describes the various features of the Reports screen, which you access by clicking  >> Reports.

Note: To see what reports come standard with CalAmp K-12, check out What Standard Reports Are Available?. For an introduction to CalAmp K-12's most popular and most-often recommended reports, go to A Detailed Guide to the Popular and Recommended Reports.

The Reports screen by default opens My Recent Reports (shown in the preceding figure), but you have several options in the Report Categories list on the left:

  • My Recent Reports: Displays a list of the reports you've run over the past 30 days, with the most recent one on top. (See Running a Recent Report.)

  • Favorite Reports: Lists the reports you've marked as favorites. (See Running a Favorite Report.)

  • Popular Reports: Contains two categories of popular reports:

    • Popular Account Reports: Shows the top 10 reports run by all the users in your organization, sorted by count order (highest to lowest). (See Running a Popular Report.)
Note: The count doesn't include historical data before March 2019, when the new CalAmp K-12 reporting engine was released — just the number of times each report has been run since that release.
    • Popular Synovia Reports: Shows the top 10 reports run by all CalAmp K-12 customers, sorted by count order (highest to lowest). (See Running a Popular Report.)
Note: This count also doesn't include historical information before March 2019.
  • Synovia Reports: Opens a catalog of all the reports your organization has available (except for TAA reports), sorted by category and report type. (See Running a Report.)

  • TAA Reports: If your organization has the Time and Attendance (TAA) module, opens a catalog of all the TAA reports, sorted by category and report type. (See What TAA Reports Are Available? and Running a Report.)

These are the options at the top right of the screen:

  • : Launches the New Custom Report screen, which is a feature still in the design phase to enable you to create a custom report. Note that this is not currently functional.

  • : Opens the Dashboards screen, which will show dashboards with overview data about your fleet — both prebuilt ones provided by CalAmp K-12 and customized ones you created yourself. (For more details, see Viewing a Dashboard and Creating a Custom Dashboard.)

  • : Opens the Report History screen, which lists all the reports you've run in the past 30 days and offers options to view, rerun, edit, and schedule them. (See Viewing Your Report History.)

  • : Launches the Scheduled Reports screen, which shows all the reports you have scheduled to run. If your user role has the Scheduled Report Admin privilege, you will be able to see all the scheduled reports in your organization (by all users). (See Viewing Scheduled Reports.)

  • : Opens the Saved Reports screen, which lists reports you've saved and those of other users who included you in their list of recipients. (See Viewing Your Saved Reports.)

On the right side of the screen, you'll see the following:

  • Search: Enables you to search through the listed reports. (See Searching and Sorting the Reports.)

  • Sort By: Enables you to quickly change the sort order of the reports in the grid. (See Searching and Sorting the Reports.)
Note: The column headers can also be sorted and filtered using the same method as other grid screens, as shown in Sorting and Filtering Column Data.
  • Show All Descriptions: If you click , each report in the list will expand to show its description, in the form of the question the report is designed to answer, such as "What were the speeding events for each vehicle on each day?" for the Speeding Daily Details by Vehicle report. When the descriptions are displayed, "Show All Descriptions" is changed to "Hide All Descriptions," and becomes , which will collapse all the descriptions when you click it.

  • /: Indicates if the report has been marked as a favorite. ( is a favorite; is not.)

  • : When clicked, shows the description of the report (as explained in the Show All Descriptions bullet).

  • Report Name: The specific name of the report, such as Mileage Summary by Vehicle (not just "Mileage").

  • Last Run by Me: The date and time you yourself last ran the report.

  • Times Run by Me: The number of times you have run the report (since March 2019, when the new reporting engine was released).

  • Times Run by Account: The number of times everyone in your organization has run the report (also since March 2019).

  • Times Run by All Accounts: The number of times all CalAmp K-12 customers have run the report (also since March 2019).
