If you need to help a parent in your school district with their Here Comes the Bus (HCTB) account, you can do so on the HCTB Accounts screen. One troubleshooting tool you have is Planned vs. Actual (PvA) by Stop, which will show you what the planned activity is for their student's bus compared to what the actual vehicle activity is. To view their PvA data, follow these steps:

Note: To view the basic details of a parent's HCTB account, you can open the Account Details dialog box. (See Viewing the Details of a HCTB Account.) For steps on using the HCTB Proxy, go to Using the HCTB Proxy. To see what the other options at the top right of the HCTB Accounts screen do, see Navigating the HCTB Accounts Screen.

  1. Click  >> HCTB Accounts.

The HCTB Accounts screen will appear, listing all your HCTB accounts by account-holder name.

  2. Click the check box at the far left in the row of the parent's account.

  3. Click  at the top right of the screen.

The PvA Stop dialog box will appear.

  4. Click the Student drop-down arrow and select the student whose PvA data you want to see.
Note: This is designed so that you can choose between students, just in case the account is associated with more than one.
  5. Click the Stop drop-down arrow and select the student stop you want to view.
Note: The stops will be listed chronologically for a day, such as the AM pickup stop (the student's home), the AM school drop-off stop, the PM school pickup stop, and PM drop-off (again, the student's home).
  6. Click the Date date picker and specify the day of PvA data to open.

  7. Click Continue.

The Planned vs. Actual by Stop screen will launch on a new tab, displaying the planned pickup or drop-off data in the grid on the left and the actual data on the right. The blue drop pin on the map represents the planned location, and the red one where the stop actually was made.

Note: For more information about the PvA by Stop screen, see Viewing Planned vs. Actual Data.
