The HCTB Settings screen enables school districts to define aspects of their parents' Here Comes the Bus (HCTB) accounts, such as the size they can set the notification radius, how long the bus will be visible on the map, and district-specific messages to be displayed when they are creating a new account using the HCTB app — about how to obtain student ID information, their school code, and bus stop data.
Note: The HCTB menu is available only if your organization has purchased both Comparative Analysis (CA) and HCTB. If you don't have these modules and would like to add them, contact your fleet advisor or project manager.
The HCTB Settings screen has five tabs:
- Notification Radius: Gives school districts control over the size parents can set their HCTB notification radius. (See Setting the HCTB Minimum Radius.)
- Student Information: Enables school districts to customize a message for HCTB app parents about how to obtain their student's ID number. (See Adding a Custom Student ID Message for New HCTB App Users.)
- School Information: Enables school districts to customize a message for HCTB app parents about how to find their school code. (See Adding a Custom School Code Message for New HCTB App Users.)
- Stop Information: Enables school districts to inform parents what they should do if their student's bus stop is incorrect through the HCTB app. (See Adding a Custom Bus Stop Correction Message for New HCTB App Users.)
- HCTB Visibility: Enables school districts to control how long the bus will be visible on the HCTB map. (See Setting How Long the Bus Is Visible on the Map.)
