If you need to contact an individual Here Comes the Bus (HCTB) account holder in your school district, you can do so from the HCTB Accounts screen. You can send the message via email or push notification, or both, and you can choose to send it immediately or later, at a scheduled date and time.
Note: To view the basic details of a parent's HCTB account, you can open the Account Details dialog box. (See Viewing the Details of a HCTB Account.) To send the HCTB account holder a message, follow these steps:
- Click >> Accounts.
The HCTB Accounts screen will appear.
- Locate the row of the parent's account.
Note: You can do so quickly by clicking the Filters drop-down arrow at the top left, entering part of the student's name in the Student Name(s) field, and clicking Apply. (See Navigating the HCTB Accounts Screen if needed.) - Click the check box at the far left of the row.
- Click at the top right of the screen.
The Send Message dialog box will appear.
- Type the subject of the message in the Subject box.
- Type the message text in the Message box.
- In the Delivery Details area, select the format(s) in which to send the message (via email and/or push notification). ( means selected, and deselected.)
- Select when you want to send the message:
- To send it immediately, click Now.
- To schedule it to be sent in the future, click Later and then follow these steps:
- Click the date picker and select the date to send the message.
- Click the time picker and select the time of day.
- Click the date picker and select the date to send the message.
- To send it immediately, click Now.
- Click Send Message.
