If a parent in your school district needs to have the password for their Here Comes the Bus (HCTB) account reset, you can do that for them on the HCTB Accounts screen, as follows:


Note: To view the basic details of a parent's HCTB account, you can open the Account Details dialog box. (See Viewing the Details of a HCTB Account.) For steps on using the HCTB Proxy, go to Using the HCTB Proxy. To see what the other options at the top right of the HCTB Accounts screen do, see Navigating the HCTB Accounts Screen.


  1. Click  >> HCTB Accounts.
     
    The HCTB Accounts screen will appear, listing all your HCTB accounts by account-holder name.
        
  2. Click the check box at the far left in the row of the parent's account.
     
  3. Click  at the top right of the screen.
     
    A confirmation dialog box will appear.
      
  4. Click Reset Password.
     
    The account holder will be sent an email with a new password, which they can use to log in. After that, they can change their password to a more user-friendly one.
