If you need to help a parent in your school district with their Here Comes the Bus (HCTB) account, you can do so on the HCTB Accounts screen. You can check the history of vehicle events for their student's bus using the Vehicle History function, which maps the vehicle activity for a time range you specify, as follows:

Note: To view the basic details of a parent's HCTB account, you can open the Account Details dialog box. (See Viewing the Details of a HCTB Account.) For steps on using the HCTB Proxy, go to Using the HCTB Proxy. To see what the other options at the top right of the HCTB Accounts screen do, see Navigating the HCTB Accounts Screen.

  1. Click  >> HCTB Accounts.

The HCTB Accounts screen will appear, listing all your HCTB accounts by account-holder name.

  2. Click the check box at the far left in the row of the parent's account.

  3. Click  at the top right of the screen.

The Vehicle History dialog box will appear.

  4. Click the Student drop-down arrow and select the student whose bus activity you want to map.
Note: This is designed so that you can choose between students, just in case the account is associated with more than one.
  5. Select the Time of Day radio button for the period of the day you want to see:

    • AM: Maps the vehicle history from midnight to 10:00 a.m.

    • MID: From 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

    • PM: From 1:30 p.m. until 11:59 p.m.

  6. Click the Date date picker and specify the day of vehicle history to map.

  7. Click Plot History.

The Vehicle History screen will launch on a new tab, displaying the history of vehicle events for the chosen time range and date and the parent's chosen notification radius.

Note: By default, all the vehicle events reported to Synovia will be displayed. You can choose just specific events using the options. For details and other information about mapping vehicle history, see Mapping a Vehicle's History.

See Tracking a Vehicle for a description of the grid's column headers.
