The Shift Analyzer is a Time and Attendance (TAA) tool that enables you to apply business rules to the work performed by one or more employees. These are rules you want to implement manually and infrequently, only under certain circumstances — not something that will be a part of every shift. For example, you might have a rule that says if an employee drives a special route, such as a field trip, they will get 15 minutes of pretrip time added to their time card. You can use the Shift Analyzer to add the time to the already-existing shift, such as when you are about to do payroll.

Before you can use the Shift Analyzer to edit employees' time cards, you'll need to create the Shift Analyzer rules in TAA System Settings, as shown in Creating a Shift Analyzer Rule.

After your rules have been created, you can use them as many times as needed via the TAA Time Cards >> Shift Analyzer screen. (See Applying Shift Analyzer Rules for details.)
