If one of your students has entered a Cancel-a-Ride request via the Here Comes the Bus app (see Canceling a Ride for details) but now needs that request to be removed (such as if they were originally going to a dental appointment but it was rescheduled), you can delete the ride cancellation from the system as follows:

Note: You also can remove requests using the Ride Requests screen; go to Removing a Cancel-a-Ride Request for details.

  1. Click  >> Accounts.

The HCTB Accounts screen will appear.

  2. Locate the row of the account with the ride cancellation request you need to delete.
Note: You can do so quickly by clicking at the top right of the page, which will show only accounts with open ride requests, or by clicking the Filters drop-down arrow at the top left, entering part of the student's name in the Student Name(s) field, and clicking Apply. (See Navigating the HCTB Accounts Screen if needed.)
  3. Click  in the account's row.

The Active Ride Requests for Student(s) Student Name window will appear.

  4. In the row of the request you need to delete, click  at the far left.
Note: This will be grayed out if you can't delete the cancellation (such as if that bus run has already been made).
A Warning dialog box will appear.

  5. Optionally, you can enter a reason for deleting the ride cancellation request, such as "Dental appointment was rescheduled."

  6. Click Yes.

A success message will appear at the top right of the screen, and the row will no longer appear in the Active Ride Requests for Student(s) Student Name window.

  7. You can click Close to exit the window.
