You can submit a request for a Vision video capture for a bus at a specific time frame as follows:

Note: For more information about CalAmp Vision, go to What Is CalAmp Vision?.

Caution: Your available video history depends on the dashcam's storage configuration and the vehicle's route activity.

  1. Click  >> Video Requests.

The Video Requests screen will appear and display all your video requests from the past month, with the most recent requests on top.

  2. Click  at the top right of the screen.

The Request Video dialog box will appear.

  3. Click the Vehicle Name drop-down arrow and select the bus name/number you are requesting a video for.
Note: Only vehicles equipped with Vision cameras will be included in the drop-down list.
  4. To change the date of the requested video from the default of today, click the Date calendar picker and select the new day.

  5. To change the time of the requested video, click the Time picker and choose a new hour and minute from the list.
Note: Alternatively, you can begin to type the time value you want, and the time picker will jump down to the first matching hour of the day.
  6. Click the Available Duration drop-down arrow and select how long of a video you need — one minute, three minutes, or five minutes.

  7. Click the Video Quality drop-down arrow and select how high you'd like the resolution and quality to be — 320 x 180, 640 x 360, or 1280 x 720 in standard or higher definition.
Caution: Higher-quality videos will take longer to process.
  8. Click Submit Request.

The Video Successfully Requested! dialog box will appear.

Note: If the video isn't available (due to storage limitations on the dashcam, lack of route activity, or the capture being archived), a message will inform you of the fact.

Click Close to exit the Video Not Found dialog box.
  9. In the Video Successfully Requested! dialog box, click Close.

  10. You can click  at the top right of the screen to see your new request, which will appear at top of the grid.

At first, it will have a status of Processing.

  11. Return to the Video Requests screen later and click to see if the status has changed to Video Ready, which will mean you can click  to view the video.
