To view a vehicle’s properties, follow these steps:
Note: There are only two changes you can make to a vehicle's properties via the app: updating the vehicle name and swapping out its device/ESN (electronic serial number). To see how to do so, go to Changing a Vehicle's Name or Swapping Out Its Device/ESN.
- Log in to the CalAmp K-12 mobile app. (See Logging In and Out for details, if needed.)
The Filter Vehicles screen will appear.
- Tap the name of the group containing the vehicle whose properties you want to see.
- Tap the Vehicle List tab.
The app will display a list of the vehicles in that group.
Note: You can search for the vehicle by tapping in the Search bar at the top, typing its name/number, and then tapping
. - Tap the name of the bus.
The Vehicle Details page will appear, showing the vehicle's activity for today.
- Tap the Admin tab.
The vehicle information will be displayed. This will vary, depending on what type of vehicle you selected.
The Vehicle Information section shows the name of the bus and its device's ESN.
- To view the Vehicle Properties section, you might have to expand it by tapping
to the right of "Vehicle Properties."
Again, the available properties will vary, depending on the type of vehicle and its equipment.
- You may have to scroll on the screen to see all the available properties (by tapping and dragging).
The J1709/1938 section will be included only if you have engine diagnostics (ED) and will show when the engine last reported to CalAmp K-12, the number of any active fault codes, the odometer reading, engine hours, and battery voltage.
