The sections below cover how to log in to and out of the CalAmp K-12 mobile app.

Note: You can download and install the app from the App Store or Google Play. Make sure to look for "CalAmp K-12."

Caution: This article describes how to log in to and out of the app. These steps DO NOT clock you in or or out! If your school district uses CalAmp K-12 to manage your work shifts, you'll need to follow the steps in Clocking In and Out to punch in or out (after you are logged in to the app).

Logging In

To log in to the mobile app, follow these steps:

  1. Open the app by tapping its icon.

    The login screen will appear.

  2. Tap in the Email Address field and type the email address or other login ID (such as a driver's punch ID) for your account.

  3. Tap in the Account Number field and type your organization's code, which is usually a five-digit number.
Note: If you don't know your account code number, contact your transportation department's/school district's CalAmp K-12 administrator.

If you've logged in previously and selected Remember Me, your email address/punch ID and code will already be filled in for you.
  4. Tap in the Password field and type your password.
Note: You can select if you'd like to verify the characters you entered. If you've forgotten your password and need to reset it, follow the steps in Resetting a Forgotten Password from the Login Screen.
  5. Optionally, you can select Remember Me to have the login screen save your email address/punch ID and account number (and have them prefilled for you upon subsequent logins).

  6. Tap Continue.
Note: If this is the first time you are logging in as an employee, you'll be prompted to change your password. Follow the onscreen instructions to do so.

When logging in as an employee, the next screen will give you the option to enable Vehicle mode. See Using Route Service for details.

If you are logging in as a K-12 software user, the Filter Vehicles screen will appear, enabling you to choose which buses you want to track.

Logging In a Second Employee

If you are using a single device for a bus, such as a tablet, for both a driver and a bus aide/monitor, you may need to log in more than employee in to the mobile app. You can do so as follows:

Note: You can log in up to 10 employees.

You cannot log in more than one CalAmp K-12 software user (logging in using an email address). The multiple login feature is available only to employee logins (logging in via a punch ID).

  1. If you logged in using a punch ID, navigate to any screen that shows the first employee's login name at the top right.

For example, you could go to the Home screen by tapping  at the top left of the screen and then Home at the top of the menu that appears.

  2. Tap the first employee's name.

    A menu will appear.

  3. Tap Add User.

The New User Log In window will appear.

  4. Tap in the Email Address field and type the email address or punch ID.

  5. Tap in the Password field and type your password.
Note: You can select  if you'd like to verify the characters you entered.
  6. Tap Continue.
Note: If this is the first time you are logging in as a driver, you'll be prompted to change your password. Follow the onscreen instructions to do so.

Logging Out

To log out of the mobile app, follow these steps:

Note: The steps below will log out everyone who is logged in on the device (such as if a driver and an aide are both logged in). Again, this is applicable only to employee (punch ID) logins.

You can log out a single employee by tapping the employee name at the top right, selecting the name of the driver/aide, and tapping Log Out Lastname Firstname. Then tap Yes in the confirmation dialog box.

  1. Tap  at the top left of the screen.
Note: If you are on certain screens (such as Vehicle Details), you'll need to tap Back first at the top left.

  2. Tap Logout at the bottom of the menu that appears.

A confirmation dialog box will appear.

  3. Tap Yes.

You'll be returned to the login screen.
