The Defect History screen lists vehicles in your fleet that had items your drivers failed (the defects) when filling out inspection forms on your mobile data terminals (MDTs). After one such item is fixed, you can make sure that the repair is noted in the software as follows:


Note: The MDT menu (and Defect History menu option) will be available in Synovia only if your organization has purchased mobile data terminal devices.

  1. Click  >> Defect History.
     
    The Defect History screen will appear and list vehicles with any failed items from inspection forms your drivers completed.
       
  2. In the row of the vehicle (and driver who filled out the inspection form) for which you want to mark a repair, click .
    Note: If necessary, you can filter the Vehicle column to find the vehicle you need (see Sorting and Filtering Column Data).
    The list of defects submitted by that driver for the vehicle will appear.
       
  3. Click the row of the failed inspection item that has been fixed.
     
  4. Click Mark as Fixed.
     
    Your username will appear in the Fixed By column, and today's date will fill in the Fixed On value.
