Import Results is part of the Comparative Analysis (CA) module; it provides information about the most recently imported data from your routing system and the status of the import. The Import Results grid shows a list of your snapshot imports, with the most recent on top. A snapshot is one day's worth of fleet activity, as planned by your routing system.

Note: For more information about Comparative Analysis, see An Introduction to Comparative Analysis.

This article describes the various features of the Import Results screen, which you access by clicking  >> Import Results.

Note: For information about the banner at the top and accordion menu on the left, see Navigating the Synovia Site.

These are the options at the top right of the screen:

  • : Begins the process of requesting a RIC (route import controller) operation, such as a partial snapshot import. (See Running a Partial Snapshot Import for details.)
Warning: Do NOT attempt any other RIC operations other than a partial import! The other controls on that screen are just for internal Synovia use. Playing around on the screen could break Comparative Analysis for your organization and stop your imports from running.
  • : Refreshes the data on the screen (which can be especially useful if other users are running partial imports).

  • : Opens the customer server-side configuration settings for your route planning system. Note that this screen will be populated only if you have a server-side configuration setup; otherwise, the grid will be empty. (See Viewing Server-Side Import Settings for Your Routing System for details.)

  • : Saves the grid data as a PDF you can print.

  • : Exports the grid data to an Excel spreadsheet.

Here is an explanation of the grid icon and column headers:

  • : Opens the Import Details ID Number screen, on which you can see client and server logs. (See Viewing an Import's Details for specifics.)

  • ID: The numeric identifier for the import.

  • Start Time: The date and time the import began.

  • Client End Time: The date and time the import client process ended.

  • Server End Time: The date and time the import server process ended.

  • Process: The type of import procedure, such as Full Snapshot Import.

  • Status: The resulting condition of the process, such as Client Success — in other words, if the import was successful or if there was an error.
Note: If an import of the routing data is unsuccessful, contact your fleet advisor or project manager (or Synovia Support at support@synoviasolutions.com). Also, you can set up an alert message to be sent out when an import fails. (See Creating an Import Failure Alert for details.)

Along the bottom of the screen are icons that enable you to navigate through the pages of data, if needed. See Paging Options for an explanation of these.
