If you have created a broadcast message but need to change it, you can do so for users who haven't logged in and seen it yet, and you can change its expiration date. If a sent message was inaccurate but has already been read by a number of users (as indicated by the Users Read column on the Broadcast Message screen), it's recommended to create a new one with the corrected information.
Note: For details on generating a broadcast message, see Creating a Broadcast Message. For more information about broadcast messages in general, see Navigating the Broadcast Message Screen.
To edit a message, follow these steps:
Note: You must have administrator privileges to send a broadcast message.
- Click >> Broadcast Message.
The Broadcast Message screen will appear.
- Click in the row of the message you want to edit.
The Edit Message Subject screen will appear.
- If you need to change the subject of the message, select its text in the Subject box and type the new text.
- To change the message text, select it in the Message box and type the new memo.
- To change the date the broadcast message will expire, select the date and time and type new values or use the date and time pickers.
Note: If a user doesn't log in to Synovia between the time you send the message and the date it expires, they won't see the message. - If you want the message to appear to each user every time they log in to Synovia (up until the point when the message expires), not just once, select Show Always.
- Click at the top right of the screen.
