If you need to delete a vehicle type (such as if you added a type that is longer in your fleet), you can do so as follows:

Note: You can't delete a vehicle type that has vehicles designated as that type in your fleet; its check box on the Vehicle Types screen will be grayed out. If you need to change a specific vehicle's type, modify its properties on the Vehicles screen. (For details, see Managing a Vehicle's Properties.)

Note: Make certain that you won't need the vehicle type again before you delete it; otherwise, you'll have to go through the process of adding it back in to the system, specifying all its details (as shown in Adding a Vehicle Type).

1. Click  >> Vehicle Types.
    
2. Click the check box(es) to the left of the vehicle type(s) you want to delete.
       
3. Click  at the top right of the screen.
    
   A confirmation dialog box will appear.
    
     
   
4. Click Yes.
