Dispatch can send you messages via the mobile app (directed to the vehicle you are driving) you can read and reply to, as follows:
When you receive a message from dispatch, you'll receive a notification that looks like this:
Note: If your vehicle is in motion, your app may be in dark mode. You'll see that you have a message at the top right of the screen:
You'll need to stop and touch the screen to exit dark mode and view the message notification.
- If you are driving, wait until you can stop to read it.
- After stopping, tap View in the notification.
The Messages screen will appear.
Note: You can also open the Messages screen from the Home screen by tapping . This will have a number representing the count of unread messages on it if you have any messages from dispatch you haven't seen yet (such as ).
There will be a blue dot () to the left of your unread message.
- Tap the message you want to read.
The message will be displayed; its subject (if any) will be the title of the screen.
These are the options at the top of the screen:
- Delete: Removes the message from your Inbox.
- Refresh: Reloads the conversation thread, showing any new messages that have been added to it.
- Back: Returns you to the Messages screen.
- Delete: Removes the message from your Inbox.
- To reply to the message, you can tap Quick Reply (to use one of the app-provided prewritten responses) or Reply (to compose your own reply) at the bottom of the screen.
Note: On the Quick Reply screen, you select the quick text and then press Send (twice). On the Compose screen, you type your own message and then select Send.
