If you need to write a new message and send it to the drivers of specific vehicles, you can do so on the new Mail screen as follows:

Note: For more information about sending and receiving messages from the MDTs, including the features of the new Mail screen, see Navigating the New Mail Screen.

  1. Click (or , if you have no unread messages) in the site banner.
Note: If you have two mail icons in the site banner, click the left one. Two appear for customers who have early access to the new Mail screen.

The legacy Mail screen will be sunsetted on February 29, which means that only the new Mail screen will be available after that.
The new Mail screen will appear.

  2. Click  above the Conversations grid.

The Compose Message screen will appear.

  3. In the grid on the left, select the vehicle(s) or group(s) of vehicles to send the message to.
Note: Expand a group name to select a single vehicle in it.

Alternatively, you can use the Search box in the right pane to search for a bus by name.
The names/numbers of the buses you select will appear at the bottom of the right pane. (You can deselect one by clicking  to the left of its name.)

  4. In the right pane, type the message subject in the Subject field.

  5. Type your message in the Message box.

You can use a maximum of 512 characters. You'll be prompted how many characters remain at the bottom right of the Message box.

  6. Optionally, you can select High Priority to mark the message as such for the driver. ( means selected, and  deselected.)

  7. Click  at the top right of the screen.

A success message will appear at the top of the screen, and you'll be returned to the Mail page.

Your new message will be displayed at the top of the Conversations grid. If the vehicle ignition is on, the driver's MDT will inform them they have a message, which they can read when the vehicle is stopped.
