If you need to delete a shift for any reason, such as if one was added incorrectly, perhaps to the wrong day, you can do so as follows:


  1. Click >> Time Cards.

    The Time Cards screen will appear and show the time card of the first employee in your organization, alphabetically.
     
  2. Select the employee's name at the top left of the screen, type part of the name of the worker whose shift you need to delete, and click the name in the short list that appears.
    Note: Alternatively, you can click the drop-down arrow to the right of the employee's name at the top left of the screen, scroll through the list, and select the name you want.
    Their time card will appear.
     
      
    By default, the current week's hours will be displayed.
     
  3. If you need to delete a shift from an earlier week, click  to the right of Today at the top right of the time card as many times as necessary to find the correct time frame (or click the calendar picker and select a day within the week you want to view).
     
  4. Click the shift that needs deleted.
     
    Two icons will appear at the top left of the shift.
       
  5. Click .
     
    A confirmation dialog box will appear.
      
  6. Click Delete.
     
    A message will be displayed saying that the shift was successfully deleted, and the shift will no longer appear on the time card.

Note: You can also delete a shift from the Editing Time Card screen by double-clicking the shift on the time card and clicking Delete Shift in the Shifts History area. (See Editing an Employee's Time Card for details.)


Be aware that any time a shift is deleted, the change is recorded in the database, stating which user removed it. Such user activity can be seen by running the TAA Audit Trail report (via Core >> Reports).
