On the Installations screen, you can download a PDF of the installation form filled out by the installer, which includes pictures of the installed device, if the form has been added as an attachment. This article shows the steps to view the form and describes a typical completed one.

Note: For more details about the Installations screen, see Viewing Installation Data.

To see the install form for a vehicle's device, follow these steps:

  1. Click  >> Installations.

    The Installations screen will appear.

  2. Find the row of the vehicle whose installation form you want to see, filtering the Vehicle row if necessary. (See Sorting and Filtering Column Data for details.)

  3. Click  in the Attachment column of its row.

The PDF attachment will appear on a new tab and/or be downloaded to your Downloads folder (depending on your browser settings).

  4. View the form on the second tab or in Acrobat Reader.

In the top gray box, you'll see the form name, installer name, date, and where the installation took place.

In the Install Verification section, you'll find your Synovia account number, the type of activity (such as New Install for an initial installation), the device's ESN (electronic serial number, a unique identifier for the LMU), the vehicle number, a list of the connected tap points, where the device was mounted in the vehicle (Driver Switch Panel in the preceding example), and the type of cabling.

On the second page, you'll see images of the install area prior to the device being placed and any peripherals.

On the third page, you'll find pictures of the device in its installed location, plus any tap points.

On the fourth page, you'll see pictures of ED cabling (if any) and the install location after the device has been placed, plus any notes the installer had.
