On the Log Service screen, you can record a service that has been performed on a vehicle, including the date, odometer value, and actual cost.

To log a completed service, follow these steps:

  1. Click  >> Log Service.

The Log Service screen will appear.

  2. Type part of the vehicle name in the Search box.

Matching vehicles will be displayed in a drop-down list.

  3. Select the correct vehicle from the list.

All the services scheduled for the vehicle will appear on the right.

  4. Click the check box to the left of the service type you are logging as performed (such as Change Oil).

  5. To log the actual cost of the service, click the current value in the Cost column.

The value will become a modifiable field.

  6. Select the current number, type the actual cost of the service, and press Enter.

  7. To enter any notes you have, click under Notes, type the information (such as "5 quarts"), and press Enter.

  8. In the Mileage field above the grid, type the current odometer reading for the vehicle.

  9. Optionally, you can enter the number of working hours the vehicle has driven in the Engine Hours field (if you have the data), or an estimate of it.

  10. If the date the service was completed isn't today (the default value), click the calendar picker to the right of the Date field and select the correct day.

  11. Click  at the top right.

An Items Saved message will appear, and the Date Due value in the grid will be updated to the next time the service is due (if the Days value was specified in the service schedule).
