If you need to view and modify a student's data, follow these steps:


Warning: Any changes you make to a student's data will be lost if your school district has a route planning system. Usually, the official student information is stored by your route planner, and Synovia will import it nightly. If this is the case for your setup, if you modify one student's data, the edits will be overwritten the next time Synovia performs its import (probably that evening).


If you don't have a route planning system, then you'll be able to make updates to student records on the Students screen as needed.


  1. Click  >> Students.
     
    The Students screen will appear.
       
  2. Click  in the row of the student whose information you want to view or edit.
     
    The Information for Student screen will appear.

      
  3. Scroll down to the field containing the information you need to view.
     
  4. If you need to change a property (if you can do so without the edits being overwritten — see the Warning at the top of this article), select its current value in the right column, type the new data, and press Enter.
     
  5. You can export all the student's data to a PDF or Excel by clicking or  at the top right, respectively.
     
  6. To see the student's boarding card bar code number (if you have students scan on and off the buses), click the Boarding Cards tab.
      
    A  in the Active column means that the boarding card has been activated for use.
     
  7. To deactivate the card, click .

  8.  Click  to return to the Students screen.
