If there is a message your drivers need to send to dispatch frequently, and that message isn't already included in the prepackaged list of canned messages, you can add it as a new canned message. The message will appear on all your organization's MDTs (mobile data terminals) after the drivers perform their next sync.

To add a new canned message, follow these steps:
- Click
>> Canned Messages.
The Canned Messages screen will appear.
- Click
at the top right of the screen.
The Add New Canned Message screen will appear.
- Type the message in the Message box.
- Select the 0 in the Order field and type the placement order for the message.
Note: The order values determine in what sequence the messages will appear on the MDT's Quick Text screen (the MDT screen that displays the canned messages). For example, if you want the message to appear fourth on the MDT list, type 4.
If two messages have the same order value (such as two 4s), alphabetical order will determine their spot on the MDT's Quick Text screen (for just those two canned messages).
Here's how the messages appear on the MDTs, with the 2018.08+ user interface (UI) first, and the older UI following:
- Click
at the top right of the screen.
The message will be saved, you will be returned to the Canned Messages screen, and your new message will appear in the list.
