The Time and Attendance (TAA) Portal (https://portal.synovia.com), included with the TAA module, enables employees to approve their time cards, if your organization has that set up (by selecting the Use Employee Approval Logic option in the TAA module, on the Calculations tab of the TAA System Settings screen).

Note: For details about the TAA Portal user interface, see Navigating the TAA Portal. For information about the TAA module, see An Introduction to Time and Attendance and Navigating the Time and Attendance Module.

To approve your time card, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the TAA Portal (https://portal.synovia.com), as described in Logging In to and Out of the TAA Portal.

  2. Click Review Current Work or Review Past Work, depending on which your organization wants you to approve.

Your time card for the current week will appear. When employee approval logic is turned on, an Approve Time Card button will be at the top right, under your name.
Note: If you are approving an earlier week, click  at the top left of your time card to go back to the week you need to certify.

  3. Review the shifts to make sure that they are correct.
Note: If you see any inaccuracies, talk to your manager or supervisor (or follow whatever practice your organization has in place to report time card errors).

The Approve Time Card button will be grayed out if your supervisor needs to approve your time card first (such as if the Export Time setting Lock Time On Approval is on) and hasn't done so yet. Also, if you have any incomplete shifts, you won't be able to approve your time until those are fixed.

  4. If your time card data looks right, click Approve Time Card at the top right, under your name.

The Approve Time Card button will be replaced with "Processing," and your approval will be saved to the database.
