If you have an upcoming calendar exception that has been canceled, you should delete it from the CalAmp K-12 database so that your arrival and dismissal data isn't compromised — for example, if a snow day was canceled and the students ended up attending school the normal hours that day.
You can delete a past exception if — and ONLY IF — the exception didn't occur at all. (Your vehicles operated on their normal schedule — not as the exception said they would.) And of course, you can delete any exceptions that were created in error.
Warning: Do NOT delete an exception in the past that occurred exactly as written. You will need to keep the exception in CalAmp K-12 in order for your Planned vs. Actual and other historical data to remain accurate.
You'll want to delete an upcoming canceled calendar exception in CalAmp K-12 as soon as you know that it won't happen so that the live Comparative Analysis tools (the School Monitor, Route Monitor, and Yard Monitor — plus the Dispatch Monitor, if your school district has added that tool) will have accurate arrival and dismissal times (that is, the standard schedule). In addition, this will prevent a Here Comes the Bus notification from going out (if you have that add-on module) and telling your parents that the buses won't be running at that time!
Note: For more information about Comparative Analysis, see An Introduction to Comparative Analysis. For details about the Calendar Exceptions screen, see Navigating the Calendar Exceptions Screen.
To delete a calendar exception, follow these steps:

The calendar exception will be removed from the list, and the Item(s) Deleted! message will appear at the top right of the screen.
