If you have an upcoming calendar exception whose properties have changed, you can edit the exception to match the new information you have. For example, if a half day off for the students is scheduled due to parent/teacher conferences and then the school district decides to make it a full day, you can change the exception to Canceled-Full Day.

Warning: Do NOT change an exception in the past that occurred as written. For example, if you had a two-hour delay exception on a Monday morning and later in the day discover that there will be another delay on Tuesday morning, do NOT update Monday's exception for Tuesday; instead, create an all-new exception for Tuesday (see Adding a Calendar Exception). You will need to keep both in Synovia in order for your data to remain accurate. Otherwise, vehicles for Monday will suddenly be counted as late across the board.

You can, however, modify an exception in the past if it didn't occur or was entered incorrectly.

You'll want to update an upcoming calendar exception in Synovia as soon as you know about the change so that the live Comparative Analysis tools (the School Monitor, Route Monitor, and Yard Monitor) will be updated with the offset times.

Note: For more information about Comparative Analysis, see An Introduction to Comparative Analysis. For details about the Calendar Exceptions screen, see Navigating the Calendar Exceptions Screen.
