Most often, you will create a new route set rather than edit one. (See Adding a New Route Set for details.) You don't want to keep using the same route set and just change the dates. You need new route sets for upcoming school years, and you need to keep the old ones (with their names intact) so that you can open historical Comparative Analysis data.

However, there will be instances of needing to edit a route set. For example, if your organization makes significant changes to your vehicles' current routes, such as adding or deleting routes, you'll need to both edit a route set and create a new route set: First, edit your current route set to make its end date sooner (such as the end of the week) and then create the new route set with a start date of the following day.

To edit a route set, follow these steps:

  1. Click  >> Route Sets.

The Route Sets screen will appear.

  2. Click  in the row of the route set you need to change.

The Edit Route Set screen will appear.

  3. If necessary, you can select the name of the route set and type a new name.
WARNING: Don't change the name of the route set if you have data in it — if it has been used at all. Only change the name if this is an upcoming route set, yet to be used.
  4. If you need to change the day the date range begins, click the Start Date calendar date picker and select the new date.
Note: If you are setting a date for a few years in the future, in the calendar date picker, click the down arrow to the right of the current month and year at the top left. The calendar will switch to a year view, and you can use the right arrow at the top right to advance quickly through the years.

  5. If you need to change the day the date range ends, click the End Date calendar date picker and select the new date.

  6. Click  at the top right of the screen.
