Synovia comes with two default seasons: SpringSummerFall and Winter. Certain data in Synovia depends on these seasons, such as the Idling value that sets off the Idle Alert event; often, customers allow vehicles longer to idle in their specified Winter season (so that they can warm up) and use a lower value in a SpringSummerFall season.


If you find that you need a different season for your organization's purposes, you can add a new one as follows:


Note: Before you add a new season, make sure that its start and end weeks won't overlap with another season's. Modify the other season's week values first if necessary. (See Editing a Season for details.)


  1. Click  >> Seasons.
     
    The Seasons screen will appear.
       
  2. Click  at the top right of the screen.
     
    The Add New Season screen will appear.
        
  3. In the Name field, type the name of the new season.
      
  4. Type the number of the week of the calendar year the season will begin in the Start Week field.
    Note: For example, if your spring season begins in the 10th week of the year (in March), enter 10 for the SpringSummerFall start week.
  5. Type the number of the week of the calendar year the season will end in the End Week field.
       
  6. Click  at the top right of the screen.
