Synovia comes prepackaged with certain icons to represent events on the map screens. You can replace the event icons with different Synovia icons, or you can add a custom icon of your own design, as demonstrated in the two following sections.

Changing an Event's Icon to a Different Synovia Icon

To use a different included icon for an event, follow these steps:

1. Click  >> Events.
    
   The Events screen will appear. (See Navigating the Events Screen for details about the features on this screen.)
     
2. In the row of the event whose icon you want to change, click its current icon.
    
   A dialog box will appear with all the available icons.
    
     
3. Scroll through the icons and click the new one you'd like to use instead.
    
4. Click Select Icon.
   
   The icon will appear in the row and will be used to represent the event on map screens going forward.

Changing an Event's Icon to a Custom Icon

To use an icon that you have created for an event, follow these steps:

Note: The recommended image dimensions for a custom icon are 16 x 16 px, and the file size limit is 2KB.

1. Click  >> Events.
    
   The Events screen will appear.
     
2. Click  at the top right of the screen.
    
   The Upload Image dialog box will appear.
    
     
3. Click Choose File.
    
4. In the Open dialog box, navigate to the icon file and open it.
    
   The icon's filename will appear in the Image File box.
    
5. Click Upload Files.
    
   The file will be uploaded to Synovia, and a success message will appear.
     
6. Click OK (or Upload New File, to upload another customized icon).
    
   Your icon will be added to the Select Icon dialog box shown in the preceding section, "Changing an Event's Icon to a Different Synovia Icon."
    
7. Follow steps 2 to 4 in the preceding section, choosing your custom icon for the event.
