  • On the Add/Edit Alert screen, added a warning in the Delivery area that appears when users enable the SMS toggle, prompting that they are consenting to receive text messages from CalAmp.


Here Comes the Bus (New App)


  • Improved the map behavior as follows:
    • When the bus becomes visible, the map will automatically recenter on it.
    • The map will now stay zoomed in on the bus as it moves.
  • Improved the handling of substitute buses by adding a “Sub” label on the bus map icon and providing large message text at the bottom of the map, such as “Bus 21 replacing Bus 15, Location updated 7:12 AM.” This will make it easier for parents to tell that they’re tracking the correct bus.
  • For account holders who have turned off push notifications at the device level, added a message when they launch the map screen that informs them that they won’t receive HCTB alerts due to their settings and offers the chance to enable bus notifications.
  • Added a pop-up that explains why parents can’t see the bus at the current time and when the bus will become visible. The message will reflect the CalAmp K-12 options chosen on the HCTB Visibility tab of HCTB Settings.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause iOS devices to crash due to the fonts not loading properly.


Time and Attendance


  • In the Absence Requests screen’s Decline Request dialog box, changed the default text in the Response to Employee field to “Request denied.” If needed, supervisors can edit or replace this before clicking Decline.
  • Fixed an issue that wasn’t showing shift hours for some drivers on the MDT or mobile app if their time cards had been recently modified.
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing the Shift Analyzer from running for employees with recently changed shifts.
