CalAmp K-12 (https://login.synovia.com)

  • Added limits that will restrict an account’s group hierarchy to five levels. If a user attempts to add a sixth level on the Groups screen, the error “CalAmp K-12 limits the hierarchical structure to a maximum of five group levels. You cannot add this subgroup because it would be a sixth level” will be displayed.
  • Added a Posted Speed column to the Fleet Tracking and Vehicle History grids, which will show the posted speed limit where the event occurred. This column will NOT be displayed by default but can be enabled using the Select Columns button at the top right of the screen.
  • Added a warning icon () to the Hardware screen if any of the vehicles aren’t assigned to a primary group. When a user mouses over this, a tooltip of “You have X vehicle(s) without a primary group” will appear. If the user clicks the icon, a window will appear that lists all the vehicles lacking a primary group and has links to the Vehicles and Groups screens, where they can add the needed assignments.
Note: ALL vehicles must have a primary group assignment in order to have CalAmp K-12 data!
  • On the System Administration >> Vehicles screen, fixed a bug that was causing the Odometer Bulk Load dialog box to hang on the loading icon and never fully load.
  • Fixed a bug with the Hardware Health reports that would exclude vehicles’ data if their primary groups didn’t have a value specified for the Spare property.
  • In the Fleet Tracking screen’s grid, fixed a bug that occurred for a small number of customers that would display unrounded values in the Speed column (such as 27.32 instead of 27).

Here Comes the Bus

  • For customers using the Cancel-a-Ride feature, added the ability for school districts to allow parents to add ride cancellation requests for the current day. (Previously, ride cancellations could be submitted only for the next day — and days after that.)
Note: This feature is available only with HCTB app version 3.6.2 or later. Contact your customer success manager (CSM) to enable it for you. (CSMs: You do so by selecting the Allow Cancel-a-Ride for Today toggle on the HCTB Settings and Features tab of the HCTB Licenses screen.)
  • For customers using the Cancel-a-Ride feature, in the HCTB app, added validation that will prevent parents from adding a ride request for the same date and time as one that had already been created for their student.
  • For customers using the Cancel-a-Ride feature, in the HCTB app, updated the language in the errors that appear when the request fails for various reasons, including if the parents try to add a ride request that has already been created for the date or one that is on a date outside of the current school year.
