CalAmp K-12 (https://login.synovia.com)

  • On the Hardware screen, added a DM-CTC Info tab to the Details window, which will show the last IP address, the date the device first reported, the date and time of the last ID report, the product line (such as LMU-4233), the configuration group and timestamp, and VBUS data (and removed those columns from the main grid).
  • For customers using CalAmp Vision, added the same acknowledgment handling to Vision alerts that is done for all other alerts.
  • For customers using CalAmp Vision, changed how timestamps are displayed on the Alert Details screen for Vision alerts to use the customer’s local time instead of UTC.
  • On the System Administration >> Vehicles screen, fixed a bug that wasn’t displaying inactive buses in the list after users selected the Show Inactive Vehicles toggle.

Here Comes the Bus

  • For customers using the Cancel a Ride feature, in CalAmp K-12, added a dialog box that will appear when a user cancels an active transportation request that will ask them to confirm the cancellation and optionally provide a reason.

On the Transportation Requests screen, any entered reason will appear in the Notes column after “Canceled with reason.”

Student Ridership

  • Added a new report, Ridership Data Collection, that will fulfill the Florida state requirement for school districts to prove their eligibility for transportation funding by retaining certain documentation on which students ride the bus. This report will return results for the week following the date entered (with Monday as the starting day), and one of its parameters is a Survey Code # text field that will display the code on the returned report. There also will be a Summary section, which shows the number of riders in each school.
  • Fixed an issue with the Ridership Summary by Vehicle report that wasn’t returning results for some customers in a consortium account but would for others.

Dispatch Monitor

Note: The Dispatch Monitor is an add-on service with an additional monthly fee. It requires both the Comparative Analysis and Time and Attendance modules, plus new PvA.

  • Changed the order of employees in the Actual Employee column (if multiple employees are clocked in on the bus, which is indicated by ) to display the scheduled employee’s name first.

Time and Attendance

  • For customers who have Autogenerate Punch ID selected on the File Settings tab of Import Employees (which automatically assigns punch IDs for new employees), fixed a bug with the logic that would sometimes break the functionality.
