WARNING!

We will be retiring the legacy Mail screen on 3/2/2024. (Currently, the new page exists alongside our original Mail screen. Come March, only the new Mail screen will be available.) Go to Two-Way Messaging Using the New Mail Screen for articles on using the new version.

CalAmp K-12 (https://login.synovia.com)

  • On the Hardware screen, restored much of the column data that was removed in release 2024.05 due to its reliance on the deprecated PULS service, if the customer account is linked to CTC (the CalAmp Telematics Cloud service). Not all the old data is available; if it’s not, the value will read, “DM-CTC n/a.”
  • For customers using CalAmp Vision, fixed an issue that wasn’t allowing users to toggle on the Vision Video column on the Fleet Tracking and Vehicle History screens (even though their user roles had Vision privileges).

Inspections

  • Added vehicles with the Kiron 2 peripheral type to the results of the Defect History screen (if they had a failed item from an inspection).
  • Made the following changes based on a customer request for a modification of how critical failures were shown:
Note: The updates below apply only to inspections performed on the MDT using version 2024.01 (or 2024.01.n). Also, a super admin must set Mark Critical Inspection Failures for your account on the Settings screen to Y in order to see these changes. Contact your customer success manager if needed.
    • On the Inspection Results Details screen, added whether a failure’s severity was critical to the Result and Subitem Result columns, so the failed items will now have values of either “FAIL (Critical)” or “FAIL (Non-Critical).” In the Excel export, this will be expanded to include two additional columns: Item Result Severity and Subitem Result Severity.

In addition, applied the same value changes to the Inspection Results screen’s Inspection Status column for failed inspections.
    • For customers with the Work Orders license on, made the following changes based on severity levels:
      • In the Work Order History pane of the Work Orders screen, for customers with the Mark Critical Inspection Failures setting turned on, changed what displays a icon (meaning a critical failure) versus a  icon (for a noncritical failure): The red icon will be shown if one result is marked as critical.
      • In the Edit Work Order pane of the Work Orders screen, added a Severity column to the work item grid rows with possible values of Critical or Non-Critical. If the customer has the Mark Critical Inspection Failures setting turned on, the values will be pulled from what was entered for the inspection items and subitems. (If not, the value will be based off the Severity drop-down list.)
