CalAmp K-12 (https://login.synovia.com)

  • For customers using CalAmp Vision, made the following updates to the Vehicle History screen:
    • Added the “No Results Found” message if the user selects Display Vision Video Only in the Options pane and no video captures are found for the selected time frame.
    • Fixed a bug that would preselect the Display Vision Video Only toggle in the Options pane if the user returned to Vehicle History after previously selecting it.
    • Fixed an issue that would display video capture results in the grid when the vehicle was traveling at a lower speed than the value the user had chosen for the Over Speed option.

Here Comes the Bus

  • In CalAmp K-12, implemented the ability to create a schedule for activities via a new Activity Schedule section of the Add/Edit Activity screen.
  • In CalAmp K-12, added the ability to have activities started automatically in the software (if a schedule has been set up for it). This requires selecting the new Auto Start Activities toggle on the Activity Settings tab of HCTB Settings.
  • In CalAmp K-12, made the following changes to the Activity Monitor:
    • Changed how row selection works: If the user clicks an activity name, all rows for that activity will become selected; if they click the bus name (or anywhere else in the row), any activity with that same bus will be chosen.
    • Fixed an issue that wasn’t persisting an applied filter after the screen refreshed.
    • Fixed an issue that would continue to display buses after they completed their HCTB activities. (Now, as soon as the activity is marked as finished, the bus will no longer appear on the map.)

Mobile Data Terminals

  • In CalAmp K-12, enabled the new Mail screen for all MDT customers. (Previously, only certain customers had access to it.) The new Mail screen presents messages to and from the MDTs in a conversation-based view so that users can see both sides of a thread. See the folder Two-Way Messaging Using the New Mail Screen for articles on how to use the new screen.

In addition, added reminders and tooltips to direct the user to the new Mail screen.

WARNING! We will be retiring the legacy Mail screen on 3/2/2024. (Currently, the new page exists alongside our original Mail screen. Come March, only the new Mail screen will be available.)
