Synovia Site (https://login.synovia.com)
- Improved how inactive users were managed to be more purposeful (instead of accidental), including added indications that a user must have an assigned role in order to be active in the site, as follows:
- On the Add/Edit User screen, an error will appear if a role isn’t selected.
- Added a new Deactivate User button to the Edit User screen with the warning “You are going to unassign the user from all roles. The user will be not able to view any screens. Are you sure?”
- On the Edit User screen, if the user has no role assigned, the text “User is inactive. Assign the user to any role to activate them” will appear.
- Fixed an issue with SAML integration; now single sign-on logins will work for customers with multiple Synovia account numbers.
Inspections
- Fixed an issue with inspection form updates that occurred if a driver used an old form (before receiving the newly published version); conflicting values would be recorded and cause the Synovia Inspection reports to not match the actual data.
Comparative Analysis
Beta Planned vs. Actual Engine
- On the Substitutions screen, changed the column order of an expanded row: Now, the Default Vehicle, Default Route, and Default Tier columns will be to the left of New Bus, New Route, and New Tier, grouping the original plan and new plan together for clarity. (Previously, the column order was Default Vehicle, New Bus, Default Route, New Route, Default Tier, and New Tier.)
- Similarly, on the Active Tiers screen, changed the column order to move Default Vehicle, Default Start Time, and Default End Time to the left of Subbed To and Subbed From. (Previously, the order was Default Vehicle, Subbed To, Subbed From, Default Start Time, and Default End Time.)
- Fixed a bug on the beta School Monitor that wasn’t showing all the substituted buses if parts of a tier were split between two or more replacement vehicles. (Only the first of the target vehicles was being displayed.)
- Fixed an issue with the Add Substitution screen that wasn’t copying over all the school stops to the target vehicle’s tiers if more than one school destination was included in the substitution. (Only the first school stop was being moved to the substitute bus’s runs.)
Time and Attendance (in the Synovia Interface)
- On the Shift Exceptions screen, added the ability for users to select multiple rows, right-click, and change the job type or employee assignment for all the chosen exceptions.
- Fixed a bug that was preventing exports from running because of unapproved absences/holidays, but there were none to approve in the list (for customers with Lock Time On Approval selected).
Mobile Data Terminals (version 2022.02)
- Changed how driver names are processed upon login so that their credentials will be authenticated sooner.
