Synovia Site (https://login.synovia.com)

  • Improved backend processing so that exceptions will be handled better (and to help prevent events not being reported to Synovia).
  • On the System Administration >> Vehicles screen, expanded the capabilities of bulk loading updates to enable users to change most of the vehicle property types they have established, including custom ones. (Previously, only the basic properties such as vehicle name and VIN could be edited in bulk.) The new Bulk Load Data dialog box will list the available vehicle properties (from the Edit Vehicle screen); users select the check boxes of the ones they want to update in bulk; and those properties will be included in the template when it is downloaded. Note that properties with drop-down lists (the picklist datatype), Yes/No choices, or time values still cannot be modified in bulk.

Comparative Analysis

Inspections

  • In Synovia, fixed an issue that wasn’t displaying the Vehicle Inspection Summary report on the Reports screen for some customers using inspections.

Here Comes the Bus

  • Changed the notification of a bus substitution to make it clear that email and SMS messages might not be sent for the route and that the bus might not appear on the map.

Time and Attendance (in the Synovia Interface)

  • On the Edit Employee screen, fixed an issue with changing an employee’s password that would continue to display the validation message “Please enter a password” after the user saved and reopened the Change Password dialog box.

Mobile Data Terminals

  • Fixed an issue that was preventing routes from syncing students, stops, and waypoints if they included deadhead directions (when no passengers are on the vehicle).
  • For consortium customers, fixed a bug that wasn’t syncing the correct customer’s inspection forms. Note that this affected MDT version 2021.01 and higher.
