Synovia Site (https://login.synovia.com)

  • Tightened password requirements for Synovia users to provide better security and be SOC 2-compliant:
    • The password must contain a minimum of eight characters and at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character.
    • The password cannot be a repeat of any of their past 10 passwords. (Users must enter a new password.)
    • Their password will have to be changed every 90 days. (They will be prompted to do so when the time arrives.)
    • If a user attempts to log in and fails three times in a row, they will be locked out of their account for 15 minutes.
  • This will require your users to reset their passwords when they log in after the software release (unless they are recently added users, whose current passwords will be within the 90-day expiration window).
  • Added a Rerun Report button to the options at the top right of all report results screens, which will run the report again with the same parameters so that users can get the most recent results.
  • Added an option that can make letters in VINs automatically uppercase when users are adding vehicles (either individually or in bulk).
  • On the System Administration >> Vehicles >> Edit Vehicle screen's ESN History tab, added a message for users trying to assign an ESN with missing data (such as no cell phone number entered), explaining why that ESN cannot be assigned.
  • Stopped sending emails out if users changed their own passwords via the User Settings screen.
  • On the Fleet Tracking screen, fixed a bug that wasn't refreshing the map results to reflect sorts added for the Ignition column.
  • Fixed an issue that would produce an error when users tried to delete or retire vehicles.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing scheduled reports to fail and produce an error.
  • On the Edit User and User Settings screens, fixed an issue that closed the Change Password dialog box if users clicked outside it (when it should close only if they select Close or Cancel).
  • On the Edit User and User Settings screens, fixed a bug in the Change Password dialog box that was showing the "Confirmed password must match the new password" message for both the New Password and Repeat New Password fields (instead of only for the latter).

Synovia App

  • Tightened password requirements for Synovia users to provide better security and be SOC 2-compliant (as described in the first Synovia Site bullet).
This will require your users to reset their passwords when they log in after the software release (unless they are recently added users, whose current passwords will be within the 90-day expiration window).
Note that users with versions prior to 3.6.0 of the app whose passwords do not meet the requirements will get a generic message saying they can't log in; version 3.6.0+ will provide users with a detailed login error.

Inspections

  • Added a Form Name column to the results for the Vehicle Inspection Summary report, which will show which inspection form is being referred to in each row.
  • Fixed an issue with the Work Orders report's Item Confirmation column that would have an empty value for a fixed item (instead of Not Confirmed) if the status of the overall work order wasn't set to Closed.
  • Fixed a bug with adding an inspection item that would allow a Severity level of Not Drivable to be saved without Is Required being selected (if Add New Item was selected prior to attempting to click Save New Item).

Comparative Analysis – Synovia Site

  • Fixed a bug on the Edit Location screen that would save bell times with a value of one minute earlier than the time that had been entered.

Time and Attendance (in the Synovia Interface)

  • Added a warning message for users who try to add an attendance event for an employee if the customer hasn't added attendance event types or configured attendance settings.
  • Added timestamps to the results lists on all three tabs of the Import Notifications screen.
  • On the Import Employees screen's Map Employee Fields tab, sorted the drop-down list of Employee Field values (that is available when adding a new field) alphabetically.
  • On the Shift Exceptions screen, changed the Invalid Punch ID right-click menu option "Change Employee Assign" to "Change Employee Assignment."
  • Fixed the message text when saving settings on the Scheduling tab of the Export Time screen (which incorrectly referred to the field trip settings).
  • Fixed a bug that causes the Last Run Date to change to two hours prior to its actual value when a user saves a scheduled export.
  • On the Shift Exceptions screen, fixed an issue that wasn't checking the Modified check box for all the right-click menu options; now the check box will be selected when the user clicks any of the options, even if they don't make a change.
  • Fixed a misspelling in the message text when saving settings on the Export Mapping tab of the Export Time screen.
  • Fixed an issue that would produce an error when users tried to run the Active Employees with No Scans by Day report using a Quick Range value of Last 7 Days.
  • Fixed a bug with the Vehicle TD-28 report that was returning results for an entire year instead of just the selected date range.
  • For consortium customers using legacy TAA, fixed an issue with the Mileage by Job Type report not including all the selected buses' data in the results.
