On several Synovia screens, including Fleet Tracking, Vehicle History, and Hardware, you can customize what is displayed in the grid, including adding or removing columns and rearranging where they are onscreen. And you can save your new layout so that the screen will always appear according to your preferences.
Note: If you're not certain whether the screen you're working with is customizable, check for these in the icons at the top right:
If these appear, you can create and save your own layout.
To personalize your layout view, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the screen you want to customize, such as Fleet Tracking.
- To add or remove columns, click at the top right.
The Show Columns dialog box will display the column headers you can include on the screen, organized by category. This will vary, depending on what screen you are on. Here is the one for Fleet Tracking, which is very similar to the Vehicle History one:
The dialog box for the Hardware screen differs in that it only allows you to choose the category of headings to include:
- Select (or leave selected) any column you want to include and deselect any columns you don't want to appear. ( means selected, and deselected.)
Note: The All Columns selectors will include all the data columns for their particular category. - Click OK.
- To change the order of the columns, click and drag the header of a column you want to move from its current location to the new one.
- Repeat step 5 for all the columns you want to reposition.
- To save the layout view you just created, including the changed fields and rearranged columns, click at the top right of the screen.
Now, every time you log in to Synovia and open the screen, your custom view will be displayed.
Note: Any column filters you applied will not be saved as part of your layout.
Note: If you decide in the future that you want to return to the default view, with only its original columns and layout displayed, you can click at the top right. Your customized view will be discarded.
