When viewing driver work activity in the Work Monitor, you can customize what is displayed, including adding or removing columns and rearranging where they are onscreen. And you can save your new layout so that the screen will always appear according to your preferences.


Note: The Work Monitor is available only if your organization has the TAA module, which enables you to track your employees' time, collecting data to help you manage clock-ins, work activities, time cards, absences, overtime, reports, and payroll integration. For more details about the Work Monitor, see Using the Work Monitor.


To personalize your Work Monitor layout view, follow these steps:


  1. In Synovia, click >> Work Monitor.
     

    The Work Monitor will appear.
     
    Note: You can change your view before or after you select the departments of employees whose work activity you want to see. To do it afterward, first perform steps 2 to 7 in Using the Work Monitor.
  2. To add or remove columns, click  at the top right.
     
    The Show Groups of Columns dialog box will appear.
      
    The available columns are organized by these categories:
     
    • Departments Grid: The top grid of the monitor, which lists the selected departments on the left and the total number of employees currently in each state of the work activity on the right (clocked in and out, absent, late, out for vacation or corporate holiday [On Holiday], and at risk of being late, plus the average driver Event Points performance score).
       
    • Employees Grid: Specific data about the driver and the route they're running (or assigned to run), including their current work status, employee ID number, allocated schedule, vehicle, and itinerary. See the bulleted list after step 7 in Using the Work Monitor for specifics about each column.
       
  3. Select (or leave selected) any column you want to include and deselect any columns you don't want to appear. ( means selected, and  deselected.)
    Note: The All Columns selectors will include all the data columns for their particular grids.
  4. Click OK.
     
  5. To change the order of the columns, click and drag the header of a column you want to move from its current location to the new one.
     
  6. Repeat step 5 for all the columns you want to reposition.
     
  7. To save the layout view you just created, including the changed fields and rearranged columns, click  at the top right of the screen.
     
    Now, every time you log in to Synovia and open the Work Monitor, your custom view will be displayed.
    Note: Any column filters you applied will not be saved as part of your layout. Also, you'll have to reselect any Options and Employee Types panel modifications you made, as well as the departments to see.

    Note: If you decide in the future that you want to return to the default view, with only its original columns and layout displayed, you can click  at the top right. Your customized view will be discarded.
