Note: There is no release notes article for 2019.18 and 2019.19 because their changes were only internal to Synovia — just behind-the-scenes fixes that make our software better!

Synovia Site (https://login.synovia.com)

  • Released the first two of the Synovia dashboards that will be available "out of the box" – the Hardware and Here Comes the Bus at-a-glance dashboards.
  • Added a Shopping Cart icon to the Synovia banner that links customers to our ecommerce website, where they can purchase new GPS devices, antennas, cabling, and other accessories. Note that this isn't for replacement units, which should still be processed using the RMA process.
  • On the map screens, added a feature to the Location Details box that will enable users to open the chosen spot in a Street view.
  • Added screens so that customers can see the data installers are documenting during the installation process, including photos of the devices' locations: a new Install tab on the Edit Vehicle screen that lists the history of installs on that specific vehicle and an Installations screen, accessible on the System Administration menu, that displays all your vehicles' install records.
  • Fixed an issue with the Watch Live "Watching X of Y Vehicles" count on the Fleet Tracking screen, which wasn't being updated to show the new vehicle count after data was filtered in the grid.
  • Fixed a bug that was producing an unnecessary scroll bar on the right side of the screen whenever a status message was displayed at the top.
  • Fixed a bug on the Vehicles screen that would change the displayed names of the vehicles, and thus their order, when you scrolled down on the page and then back up.
  • Fixed an issue with the Maintenance reports that was displaying code terms in the Service column instead of the translations to actual words.
  • Fixed a bug with the Edit/Add Alert screen (for any alert involving vehicles) with the Exclusion tab not displaying all the vehicles in the Vehicles grid.
  • Fixed an issue that was adding a duplicate location if the original one was created without drawing the geofence (its zone).
  • Fixed a bug that was changing the Work in Progress icon to yellow for users who didn't have any Synovia tasks to complete.

Comparative Analysis - Synovia

  • Changed the text on the Save button on the HCTB Visibility tab of HCTB Settings from "Save Visibility Settings" to "Save Changes" (to make it consistent with the other tabs).
  • Fixed a bug that wasn't offering calendar pickers on the Attendance screen for the From and To date fields.

Time and Attendance

  • Released the new Work Monitor, which is in the Synovia site but available only if you have the TAA module, to power TAA users, not just beta users. (In Synovia, users with the Administrator role will be able to allow other user groups in your organization to access the monitor as well, as needed.) This screen is designed to allow dispatch to quickly check to make sure that every route is covered by a driver and vehicle and is accessible from the Time and Attendance menu in Synovia.
  • Fixed a bug with the Work Monitor that wasn't carrying over manual shift deletions in TAA to the monitor, so it was showing the incorrect status.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing shifts entered on the MDT to not display the correct status of "Manual" in the Work Monitor.
  • Fixed a bug on the Mail screen (in Synovia) with the drop-down list at the bottom right (which allows users to select how many items to display per page) not functioning.

Engine Diagnostics

  • On the OBDII - Light Duty screen, changed how many digits are displayed in the Tire Pressure (Psi) column values after the decimal point to one.
