Core

This webinar covers the Core functionality of the software platform, including the Fleet Tracking screen, vehicle history, and reports.

Comparative Analysis

This webinar covers Comparative Analysis in the K-12 software platform, showing how you can compare planned and actual routing data via PvA by Stop and our live monitors and make bus substitutions.

New PvA Functionality

This webinar reviews the functionality changes in the K-12 Comparative Analysis engine. You can now perform substitutions at the stop level, which will enable you to split routes among several vehicles.

Core Reports

This webinar reviews the Core reports in the K-12 software platform.

System Administration

This webinar covers the System Administration functionality of the K-12 software platform, including managing your users, configuring groups and vehicles, and locations (zones/geofencing).

Student Ridership

This webinar covers the Student Ridership functionality of the K-12 software platform.

Here Comes the Bus

The Here Comes the Bus (HCTB) webinar is an overview of the application, covering features, functionality, and software requirements.

Here Comes the Bus Activities

This webinar covers the K-12 HCTB feature Activities. You can add any type of bus trip, such as field trips, competitions, food drops, and even routes, as an activity. After an activity is set up, parents can link their student to the activity and then track the associated bus via the HCTB app or website.

Route Validation

This webinar covers how to validate your routes in preparation for the next school year. This step must be completed prior to the start of each new school year for successful HCTB use!

Service Manager

This webinar covers the functionality of the Service Manager module (called the Maintenance module in the legacy software, Silverlining). Service Manager enables users to schedule preventive maintenance (such as oil changes and alignment) for vehicles. An alert will be generated when a service is due. Also, you can run reports for service history and upcoming scheduled services.

CalAmp App (Formerly Synovia App)

This webinar is an overview of the K-12 app that can be used on a phone, tablet, or other mobile device. The features covered include live tracking, history, administration, and vehicle substitution.

Mobile Data Terminals

This training covers our current user interface for our mobile data terminal (MDT) devices. This session will be a general, broad overview of the MDT's functionality. Logging in, logging out, syncing, choosing routes, and inspections will be some of what we cover during this webinar. Questions, comments, and thoughts are welcome.

Inspection Form Setup

This webinar covers how to develop an electronic inspection form such as a pre-trip or post-trip inspection and how to publish the form to the MDTs. Additionally, we will review the inspection reports and the Work Orders screen, which is targeted for mechanics.

Navigation

This webinar covers Navigation on the MDTs and the Navigation tool within the K-12 application, which enables users to review turn-by-turn directions prior to the bus driver driving the route.

Time and Attendance (New)

This webinar is an overview of the Time and Attendance (TAA) screens within the K-12 platform (https://login.synovia.com), including Employees, Time Cards, Job Types, and User Privileges.

Time and Attendance Reports

Time and Attendance (TAA) has a number of reports that summarize your data, including Absence, Clock In/Out Dwell, Mileage by Shift, Standard Time Card, Time Sheet, Vehicle Use, and Who's Logged In. This webinar is designed for TAA users who would like to know more about the various available reports.

Time and Attendance Portal

The Time and Attendance (TAA) Portal webinar will discuss how to set up and use the portal functionality of TAA, including how to assign job types to be enabled for portal use, how to limit portal access to your domain, and how an employee can request time off using the portal.

Legacy Fleet Software (Silverlining) and Legacy MDT User Interface

We no longer offer live webinars for our legacy fleet-tracking software (Silverlining) or for our older MDT user interface. The following are links to previously recorded webinars:

  • Legacy Core AVL: Covers vehicle tracking, both live and historical. The webinar includes finding locations on the map, managing screens, and the search function. This session also addresses the creation of reports and zones (geofences), use of the Hardware screen to verify the hardware-vehicle association, and setting the My KPIs screen of the Dashboard. This session is designed for the general user of our legacy software (our prior version of Synovia's site, Silverlining).

  • Legacy Comparative Analysis: Covers the comparison between planned routes and the actual operation of your vehicles. Many tools and monitors are discussed, such as those that watch the vehicles live as they progress through the assigned routes, including the School Monitor, Route Monitor, and Planned vs. Actual by Stop screen. The generation of related reports is also addressed in this webinar. This is for users of our legacy software (our prior version of Synovia's site, Silverlining).

  • Legacy System Administration: Describes configuration issues in the application. Covers the association of vehicles to GPS/AVL hardware inventory in detail, along with organizing the vehicle inventory into fleets. User management, privileges, roles, and groups are part of this webinar to give you a thorough understanding of the functionality and to help you be self-sufficient regarding user access to data. Zone (geofence) and alert management is also part of this session. This training is designed for Administrator users of our legacy software (our prior version of Synovia's site, Silverlining).

  • Legacy MDT User Interface: Explains the operating system prior to v2018.08 of our mobile data terminal devices (both All-in-Ones and tethered MDTs). This session will be a general, broad overview of the MDT's functionality. Logging in, logging out, syncing, choosing routes, and inspections will be some of what we cover during this webinar.
