Most likely, you will never have to add an ESN/GPS device to your organization's database. A Synovia representative will add the ESNs to the system before the devices are installed on your vehicles or as they prepare to send you replacements. But just in case, here are the steps to add an ESN/GPS device:

Note: An ESN (electronic serial number) is a unique numeric identifier for a GPS device.

  1. Click  >> Inventory.
     
  2. Click  at the top right of the Inventory screen.
     
    The Add New Inventory Item screen will appear.
        
  3. Type the device's ESN in the ESN box.
     
  4. Type the device's cellular phone number in the Phone Number box.
     
  5. If you need to add any notes about the device, type them in the Notes field.
     
  6. Click  at the top right of the screen.
     
    You'll be returned to the Inventory screen, and the new ESN will appear in the list.
