If you need to modify a group's properties, such as changing its name, you can do so by following these steps:

  1. Click  >> Groups.

    The Groups screen will appear.

  2. Click  to the left of the group name.
Note: If the group is a child group, to access it in the grid, click  to expand the parent group first.
The Edit Group (where Group is the name of the group) screen will appear.

  3. To change the group's name, select the text in the Name field and type the new name of the vehicle group.

  4. If you need to change the group's place in your fleet's hierarchy, click the Parent Group drop-down arrow and select the group this is a subgroup of (or if it is no longer a child group [one that fits under a larger, parent group in your fleet structure], select None).

  5. If you need to change whether there are spare vehicles in the group, click the Spare drop-down arrow and select Yes (if it has spare buses) or No.

  6. If you need to change the Use in Average Speed setting, click its drop-down arrow and select Yes or No.

  7. If you need to change the District Served setting, click the drop-down arrow and select the new value.
Note: Most customers can ignore District Served and Use in Average Speed, leaving them at their default values of Private and No. (Use in Average Speed enables compiling of various legs of a route, and District Served applies only to consortium customers.)

If your organization is part of a consortium and you need to change the district the vehicles in this group serve, you can click the District Served drop-down arrow and select the new district.

  8. Click  at the top right of the screen.

Note: To add vehicles to the group, see Adding Vehicles to a Group. To remove vehicles, see Removing Vehicles from a Group.

To add users to the group, see Adding Users to a Group. To remove users, see Removing Users from a Group.

If your drivers use the CalAmp K-12 mobile app and your school district limits bus visibility in the app, you can add departments to the group as well; see Assigning Departments to Vehicle Groups.
